The cost of PASSION

Approaching a milestone in my life, I think back to how many times the word PASSION has been mentioned when talking about me and the cost I've paid to have it.


PASSION sounds great, evoking imagery of employees smiling while working late, freely giving up ideas with no expectations or doing the behind the scenes work allowing someone else to get the credit (admit it, this is true). Human Resources and hiring managers throw it around freely & bosses use it as a tag word during company meetings.

Read this next sentence carefully, most companies don't want the passion of a Michael Jordan or Steve Jobs they just want the results they produce.

If someone has a true PASSION for their craft then expect a cost to pay working with them.
